    • Nioh is much more difficult than the Souls games. The Souls games are easy with common sense and strategic thinking.

      In terms of difficulty: Cuphead is harder than Nioh which is harder than any of the Souls games.
      Cuphead was fun but man just like with one of the Dark Souls game I could not get by the first boss and stopped playing. I mean I have tried them a couple more times again but with other games far easier had to put those further back in my backlog of games to play. As for Nioh being harder than Dark Souls games I am shocked to hear it as every review I saw said otherwise. Anyway they are all great games and just hope I can get somewhere with them someday. LOL!

      Also used up the $25 voucher credit (from XBox One X 'price error' mixup/compensation, from 2-3 months back) - so ended up only paying $15 - woohoo.

      Well I had seen there were no copies of Nioh for PS4 last night when I looked online but glad to have gotten it in store tonight. $9.99 : ) After seeing the reviews about it being Dark Souls but a bit less difficult well I had to have it. Looked awesome in the reviews on YouTube. More copies still available at Lambton Mall store in Sarnia.

    • In case anyone doesn't know, Nioh is free on PS+ right now, probably for a few more days until the December games start.
      Thanks for sharing that for everyone but for me I have never had PS+ and also want hard copies of games. Heck even with me having Xbox Live Game Pass Plus or whatever with Microsoft I still buy games physically so I have them for the future. Besides a physical new copy for $9.99? Eh it isn't like shelling out for the idiotic prices games can have now.

      I did the trade in for a pro a few months. I only have a 1080p TV, but with the supersampling and awesome FPS, I think it's worth it.

      Horizon zero dawn, God of war, and monster hunter runs and looks a lot better.

    • I have a LG C8 65 oled. Feel like I'm not utilizing it to the full. But I don't play that much games. Maybe couple AAA titles a year that I'm interested.
      I suppose if you really only play one or two games, maybe it isn’t worth it. My experience is that a 4K TV really wants the Pro. The look of games running at the higher resolution is stunning. Even older games such as Uncharted 4 (which “only” runs at 1440p) look incredible.

      Having a 65” C8 stuck at 1080p is a crime. :D

Apparently some time between the beginning of Black Friday and the end of Black Friday head office retracted the offer. It was still posted everywhere in store and on the physical flyers, but the manager almost refused to honour it due to “an email from head office”. We had to argue that they should have removed all advertisement. In the end the manager gave someone a call and they gave us the trade in...with a lot of shitty attitude included.

      That's for you to decide because everyone is different. I got a Pro right away because i have a 4k TV and of course time is valuable. Considering how much i used my Pro, it was well worth regular price because you do save time loading games and/or saving/loading. That means more time enjoying your game instead of waiting for your game to load. On top of that, if you spend say 3-4 hrs a day, the price/premium you pay per hour really isn't all that much (more so given performance difference of the 2). For that reason i would also likely by PS5 next year when it comes out (regular price/MSRP) vs waiting a year or so for holiday "bundle sales" in 2021. Remember PS5 might come out next year but unless you are planning to pay $600 or whatever it will cost, it isn't likely to be on sale until 2021 holiday season. Refer to PS4 when it came out, PS4 pro, switch, One X, etc.

      It was worth it for me considering that my controller is a bit messed up and I'm always running out of space from my old phat PS4. Haven't tested 4k but there are some tweaks that can boost performance for some games. You can check Youtube and search for digital foundry PS4 Pro videos. I was originally thinking of selling my old console through Kijiji but I don't think I'll get the same trade in value at EB Games considering that people are selling ps4 1tb slim for $200 and some are under.

    • Not sure if it was mentioned previously in the thread, but there are some titles on-sale that I don't see advertised anywhere (but they appear if you search their site). I mean, I was in a store today that didn't even have the right price stickers for titles that *were* advertised, so as per usual some EBs just refuse to want to make money.

      For example, both of the recent 2-pack releases of Baldur's Gate 1&2 and Planescape/Icewind are $44.99 new on PS4/NSW, which is $20 off.
      I think they did this differently in-store and didn't tag every single game that was on sale because there's tons of them and that costs labour hours.

      Every EB I've gone to has one section of the wall dedicated to BF games that have a display-only game case with a small red sign on it indicating the discount.

      There are a lot of problems with the PS4 Pro, like massive coil whine on some models and less-than stellar 4K performance, that have made people disappointed in the "upgrade".
      Yeah, I got my PS4 Pro 2 years ago and I have problems with my disc drive. I basically have to tap on the thing whenever I start it up just for the disc to read. Of course it happened after my warranty expired.

      With that tv a massive difference in image quality would be seen. I really wanted the gears 5 limited one x so I traded in my s for it last week to EB. The difference to me was so stark that I used bonus redemption points at shoppers to get a PS4 pro yesterday even though I have a slim already. I also don't plan on buying a next gen console right away as I always have in the past and have always regretted not waiting a bit. I have a 75" Samsung nu8000 tv and yours is waay better.
