Get a new Switch and some spending money with this limited-time deal from Amazon.ca, because you can get a Nintendo Switch Console and a $50.00 Amazon.ca Gift Card for just $399.95 with free shipping!

Both Nintendo Switch bundles include the updated full-size console released in August 2019 with improved battery life, along with a physical $50.00 Amazon.ca Gift Card in a Christmas greeting card -- for reference, this deal is even better than the Amazon.ca bundle from two weeks ago with a $30.00 Gift Card, while a standalone Nintendo Switch console is $399.96, so you're essentially getting a $50.00 gift card for free, plus a very tiny discount of $0.01.

This offer is available online for a limited time and both bundles qualify for free shipping from Amazon.ca.

While these items were in stock at the listed prices at the time this deal was posted, Amazon practices dynamic product replacement -- once their stock of an item is depleted, it may be replaced with the same item sold by a third-party retailer for a different price. Double-check that the listed price and shipping fees we posted are still available before you buy.

    • BF had a better deal with shoppers drug mart. They had the switch at 399 - 125 gift card + 20x points (for another 79000 points or 79$ or 79$*1.3 if you wait for redemption events). But now that that’s gone, this may be the best deal of Boxing Day.
The 20x points was very YMMV that day. Most people (myself included) didn’t have one on my account that day. It was still likely the best deal of the season (TRU/RBC/Ampli deal up there too).

    • I was able to easily find one at Shoppers last month when they had the gift card promo. The one Shoppers by me in SW Calgary seems to regularly stock a large selection of Switch games and systems. I bought one of the V2 systems there with the blue and red joycons, but I also saw they had systems with grey joycons plus the V1 bundle with Mario Kart. They also had Switch Lite systems.

Moral of the story is YMMV on your local Shoppers but if you live in a big city I am guessing you will be able to find at least one SDM with regular stock.

The TRU deal with 20% off is good too although I am not sure personally how comfortable I am with the Ampli part (although for TRU maybe it’s “ok” since you’re using Ampli with a RBC credit card).
I'm in the capital of Canada

      Toronto

(Kidding, but no kidding about lots of Nintendo Switches)

How about the middle picture? So the newer version can come with blue and red joycon as well? I thought only red joycons

So that means the one on amazon.ca is the version because it comes in red box?

And are you planning on reselling?

    • Just below the Nintendo Switch logo, you'll find the model number. The new Switch's model number is HAC-001 (-01), whereas the original Switch's model number is simply HAC-001.
Got the red wmt one but no model # below Switch logo [this is on box I'm talking about]... however the serial # is visible and that starts with XKW which is new V2

The one that Walmart sells with all red joycons and full red case with red box are the new version ones.

Call in the check for stock? They are stored in the backroom so you have to ask an associate to bring it out. First try at location Creditview and Bristol I found, associate said they get shipping of switch very often.

    • Shoppers Currently has 20x the points (30% back in points)

I would probably suggest that route. 120$ Shoppers points (180$ with maximum redemption bonus)

    • Is there a thread that explain how that shoppers points work ? 120$ at shoppers, what can I do with that ?
Just scan your optimum card when purchasing, they will give you 20x points as mentioned worth $120 or 120000 points which can be used at any shoppers, Loblaws branded stores to purchase normal groceries or anything from Shoppers.

    • Yes I just checked in Richmond,BC two days ago, so I assume it is regularly stocked at Toys R Us locations across Canada.

They were listed at the full 399 price, so 20% from RBC and 20% (max of $50) from Ampli should bring the price down to $272 plus tax. If the RBC statement amount applies to tax then a little bit of tax should be taken out too.

    • I think the RBC 20% statement credit offer plus ampli offer stacking at Toy's R Us would be significantly cheaper than this deal right now.

Though it would have to be in-store since they only list Switch Lites on their website.
