    • Dell's Doorbuster Deals have started, and looks like they'll be refreshing (next at 2 pm). I'm looking for a basic laptop at around $400 for a young student, but so far not too impressed with the doorbuster deals over their previous deals.

      Inspiron 14 3000 Laptop
      • Intel® Pentium® Silver Processor
      • Windows 10 Home
      • Intel® UHD Graphics 605
      • 14.0-inch HD (1366 x 768) Anti-Glare LED-Backlit Non-touch Display
      • 128GB Solid State Drive
      • 4 GB Memory

This is for $279.99, but I didn't know they're still making Pentium processors!
Also looking for a basic laptop for travel to browse, youtube, some word processing. Haven't seen anything jump out yet !

    • $35 firetv 4K is hot.
Is it recommend to pump another $10 for the 4K one if I don't have 4K tv? It will be used on a 12 yo non-smart TV for Prime, Netflix, and Ytube. Not thinking of 4K tv upgrade until the tv dies. TIA

    • This part list beats the New Dell G5 Gaming Desktop by 400$ and don't use whatever parts dell has laying around and none of the parts are even on sale yet so you'd probably be able to build for even cheaper during bf if you snag a few discounted parts

    • Does the 10% sign up bonus work for these deals?
I tested it in cart, it gets applied but haven't actually completed checkout since I'm undecided. Looks like it can't be combined with the $25, $50 or $100 off promo though.

    • Where did you find the flyer? I think I'm blind XD
For me, the primary advantage of these lightweight laptops is slightly newer architecture, low power consumption and fanless. If you're looking for better performance on the same budget, I'd agree the older i3 i5 laptops are better value.

    • Is there crazy lag when opening programs or just doing basic word processing and youtube?

Just need something basic to travel and get some work done using basic stuff. But I hate it when things take like 5 seconds to open a program or 10 minutes to boot up. I'm used to my Macbook just working :P

But for $200 its ok if it breaks :P

    • Found this laptop on Dell Canada's Black Friday flyer. To be comparable to Lenovo 14w at Lenovo Canada website that was on sale in late-October, much better processor based on benchmark (https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/I ... 0vsm300155). Only disadvantages are battery (Dell 42Wh vs Lenovo 56WHr) & display (Dell 1366x768 vs Lenovo 1920x1080).

Since some of you have missed out on Lenovo's promo, expect Dell's Inspiron 14 3000 laptop to sell out real quick as Dell recently claimed there are "limited quantities" available.

and i didn't see the BF deal @ $180] and i was thinking, this can't be true, who would post this for $398, hahahahahaha.
That's what I was thinking.. hahah

    • Stupid hot if it was 1080p.
      Just stupid because it's 768p
    • Compared to the Lenovo one

Slower CPU (Passmark score of 1426 vs 2166)

      Lower resolution (768p vs 1080p).

      Smaller battery (42 vs 56)

Windows home vs Windows pro edu

Built quality was exceptional on the Lenovo. Did not saw that one, so can't compare.

By the way the Lenovo one will be back at 169 at black Friday.

Real life performance might favor the Dell though because the Lenovo have hard to explain lag and hiccup. So buy both of them, test them and keep the one you prefer!
