View allWindows 10 just charge my phone when connecting the phone to the PC via a USB cable.
usually the PC will recognize my old phone via a USB cable and I can transfer pictures and files with no problem...
Seeing those prices, i'm pissed off I missed the Koodo boxing week deal. I should have jumped in even if I couldn't secure an extra discount. could of have s10 for about the same as a70.

Only complaint is when using Waze in night mode the navigation bar remain white…
Screen is really nice and the phone is very smooth.

I got it as a backup phone or to use at home to save the battery on my LG V20. I love my V20 for the large, hi res screen and excellent audio quality with the quad DAC and the great manual control cameras plus the swappable battery to give you an idea of where I'm coming from.
The best feature of the A50 is the excellent amoled screen IMHO. Note however, that it's a higher aspect ratio which means even though it's a larger screen than my V20 (5.7") the picture size of a movie is smaller on the A50. In terms of PQ the amoled has better contrast and a warmer colour temp out of the box which is while noticable on a high quality picture/video in a side by side comparison, I still prefer the aspect ratio and the accurate whites of the V20.
More importantly, when viewing websites or even reading mail/facebook I find the screen too narrow. Even though I wear glasses and like to increase the font, I still find it too narrow with the default font size.
Pros are the phone jack with decent audio quality, expandable storage, and great battery life. I don't play games or do anything processor heavy so the speed is fine for me.
I have not tried the cameras as I have no plans of using it to take actual photos where PQ would matter. The finger print scanner is tempremental and slow compared to my V20 but the facial recognition works well so that's no big deal.
I also had the pleasure of the phone resetting after setting up the phone and putting the sim card in later to test it to make sure it worked should I need to use it later as a backup or decide to sell it.
Re scams: I wouldn't worry too much about unrealistic prices being too good to be true as people like me who get them either free or for very little sell them BNIB for a low amount vs. some posters here who want near full retail price for them. Just take some common sense precautions as mentioned above and you should be fine.
Final impression, I think this is a great midrange phone to give a teenager or even a daily driver for someone who is not swept away by the iPhone hype and just needs it for daily tasks. I actually love the form factor with the "glastic" back as I prefer the feel and security of decent quality plastic. I never used a case for my phones and the best phone for secure holding I had was the LG G3 with the curved plastic back as it perfectly fit the curve of my hand as I held it naturally. The translucent plastic back with the blue actually looks pretty good IMHO.
Thank you.
Then when I put in my Rogers SIM card, it formatted/wiped the phone. Installed some Rogers bloatware too. I am not using a MicroSD. Lesson learned.
My original concern of screen size is a non-issue. Bought a case and screen protector from Amazon.
Amazing battery, big screen and it zips along.
Security Patch yesterday fixed the USB sensitivity issue.
WIth Kijiji, there's always a risk.
Hypothetically, if I lost my phone... I wouldn't even know what my IMEI/SN is... if I had insurance, I'd claim it without doing the work of blacklisting, it's extra work for nothing gained. Still makes no sense still in majority of scenarios.
I could be wrong, or am i missing something??
When buying 2nd hand/BNIB there is ALWAYS risk. You should always take steps to minimize risks you can control (e.g. scams, fakes, etc).
But getting an actual lemon (defective) unit from a BNIB, that's just life.
Don't buy this phone for the camera. I rarely use the camera so it works out for me.
skroutz.gr link to A70.
I can't imagine using the tiny screen of the 8 anymore, it feels so 2014. On the other hand, the A70 feels like a tablet and is massive so make sure you're ok with that. I personally think something with a 6 inch screen is a good middle ground, but I'd rather err on the side of too large than too small
I bought the A70 with the $75 off code from Staples - very pleased. $425 + tax : Canadian model with full warranty.
If you are looking for a case and screen protector, these worked out very well. Took time to decide about size, glass, fit etc., probably longer than to choose the phone.

These are not referral links, just passing on my experience.
I bring a knife to open it up and then turn the phone on to verify it is in fact a phone.
I met one guy at his work. I'd be surprised if he tried to scam someone from his work.
The other was at his friends house, but the seller wasn't there.
9pm and the family was freaked out never turned the lights on. It was weird.
Next day some kid a few doors down went crazy and stabbed a toddler and an suv.
