So does it actually have some sort of special matte coating? I want it to look like a painting.

Matte coating on the screen? or Matte coating on the frame?

Samsung sells additional frame options if you wish to make it, let's say, like a wooden frame.

Been thinking about the 75” version (wish they had a 70”). Anyone have any experience with it, how they like it??

Costco is effectively $1960 with an executive membership, so I think I’ll buy it there for the $100 5 year warranty.

I have the 2020 version of the 75”. I use it primarily in art mode and it also serves as a secondary TV. I bought the white bezel which made a huge difference as far as perceiving it as a picture frame on the wall. I found the stock black bezel screamed TV. I know the 2021 version is a lot thinner but I’d suggest picking up a different colour bezel if you’re really going for the art look. Very high WAF.

Anybody know how to get a deal on the frames? Looking for a white or brown bezel to replace the white.

It seems Amazon is offering 12 interest-free monthly payments for this TV as well, which I suppose is a new feature because I've only ever seen 5 months on the website before.

edit: the frames for it also have the option of 5 monthly payments

I have a Samsung Frame and an Nvidia Shield. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make them work nicely together. My primary problem is that if I don't press the OFF button on the Samsung remote after using the Nvidia Shield, then it will NEVER enter Art Mode (even if I have CEC enabled). So... For my household members, they have to remember to use TWO remotes. Realistically what happens is that they use the Shield, they press OFF on the Shield remote, and then the TV does not return to Art Mode, it just stays on a black screen until I see the TV in this state and then I press OFF on the Samsung remote. Such a confusing and terrible user experience. Any ideas?

I've tried enabling CEC to use a "one remote" solution. The Samsung remote HOME button doesn't act as a home button for the shield, though, it acts as a home button for the Samsung Frame TV (meaning it pulls up the Samsung UI). I've also tried using the Shield remote as the "one remote" solution, but turning off the Shield turns off the Samsung Frame TV, but does NOT kick it into Art Mode. So none of this solves the problem... but this can't be a unique problem I'm running into. Samsung Frame and Nvidia Shields are both very popular products.

Anyone else manage to solve the problem? I've googled it for hours, and no one seems to to be talking about this problem!!

These payment plans are always individually targeted. Not rare but not available to everybody.

I waited for months. Eventually, I just caved and paid it... I needed the 2020 version and could barely find it anywhere anymore.

I did get the 75" 2020 for $2000 from The Source, so I guess that helped.
