Bite into 11 herbs and spices for dinner from KFC, because their Cyber Monday deal is back for 2020 and you'll save 50% on all buckets and boxes!

This deal is available online or through the KFC Canada app (Android, iOS). Simply configure an order for delivery or pickup with any eligible bucket or box and use the promo code CYBER50 at checkout to apply the discount!

A minimum order of $10.00 is required and there are some restrictions, as à-la-carte items, Chick 'N Share buckets, $5.00 Fill-ups, 2 Can Dine for $15.00 meals, Double Buckets, the Mighty Bucket for One and combos are excluded.

We suggest ordering well in advance if you plan to get this deal -- for reference, KFC is the two-time reigning Cyber Monday champion, as this same offer was the most popular Cyber Monday deal in 2018 and 2019. During both years, restaurants were inundated with orders throughout the day and many users reported significant delays, especially during the late-afternoon.

This deal is effective on Monday, November 30 only at participating restaurants in Canada -- click here to find the location nearest you.

Yep, kfc caught on and cancelled all of them that weren’t used. The thread on here also got nuked into oblivion.

I don’t have a problem doing that, the user was “dcskmy”

    • Probably a long shot but does anyone have a code for 50% off that they can PM me? Trying to order dinner right now and the code I traded for ended up being used by the person who gave it to me.

    • Wow! My BMO MasterCard agent was not that nice. She basically blamed me for not waiting for the pickup. We’ll see what happens when I go to the store tomorrow.
Went to the store today, and they offered to honour the cyber monday deal today. Got my chicken and some extra's (cheesecake) for my troubles. My advice would be to go to the store directly with complaints rather than calling or emailing customer service. Customer service is slow to respond and can't take appropiate action needed.

Called brim mastercard 2 days ago and they did a charge back right away. They just asked if we picked up our food. Said no. Refund processed on the spot

    • Hi there.

I'm still waiting for my refund as well. I have called customer service 5 times since I cancelled my order on Nov 31. I gave up after waiting in line for 1.5 hours and getting only 1/4 of the way through the lineup. Meanwhile, all the delivery drivers were bypassing the line and picking up their orders right away. Each time i call customer service they say the same thing they say to you. I have even tried calling the store but noone answers. Even worse the line disconnects after 10 rings. I FB messengered them tonight and am hoping to have a reply. I called MC to have dispute the charge, but they won't dispute it without written notice from the store saying I didn't receive my order. I now expect not just a refund but some huge offers as well.

    • Same here. I cancelled on the 30th and THEN the food actually came 10 minutes after I called. (2 hours after scheduled delivery time).

THat's why i haven't done a charge back but I'm not thrilled about it.

    • Sorry to bring this thread back to life.

For those that cancelled, did you get your refund from KFC? I called the 1-866-532-4968 on Nov 30th and cancelled the order. The person on the phone said I’d receive a refund to my credit card within 3-4 business day. I called the number again a few days ago and they said they sent an email to the store to have them approve the refund.

      Anyone else have this?

I just requested a charge back from the credit card company

I guess that store must have told hq to take them off the website.

    • Someone said KFC received 8x the normal amount of deliveries. There's no way they would be able to fulfill all that in a reasonable amount of time (you can bet they didn't hire 8x the amount of drivers for 1 day). Given how many cancellations/refunds they had to process, better to not even offer delivery. Not sure about in-store lineups but in our group chat, several friends ordered delivery (not me, I don't bother with this as I knew it would be a joke) & ended up cancelling due to crazy wait time (eg 3 hrs). People go crazy for 50% off KFC, even some people waiting for hrs based on these comments. Hours of time to save 50% on chicken, this isn't 50% off a phone or laptop, which actually could be worth it. Uber had 50% off each Saturday in Nov, where you could pre-order for another day, & you could use it on restaurants with way better quality than KFC. If you picked up from a restaurant that doesn't markup their prices, that's a way, way better deal without the stress of what this deal did to so many people
=) you think funny. Lol. Logic doesn't belong on rfd mate. It's a mental thing that happens though in their defense, they're not thinking it out. It's like the guy who speeds 40km/h over the limit to get to a place 5min away. If he was speeding 19km/h over the limit no real chance of a ticket, and next to no real savings in time. =)

    • Agree. But they can certainly schedule everyone to work those days. My KFC seemed to do that. About double the usual manpower, including I believe, all three managers.
Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. It's probably not even enough in some areas.

It's a 7 day business so inevitably, people fall on natural days off, so might not even be possible.

I get people want to devour their 50% off chicken and lick their fingers and complain about wait times and still play victim that sales like this spread COVID, but I'm not killing my staff on one day for a bunch of freeloaders to eat for half price and turn my business upside down.
    • They CAN'T double their staff. It's impossible to hire enough people to meet the demand of this one day, just like it's impossible for any store to hire enough people just for Boxing Day and Black Friday.

    • So early I mentioned I reached out to KFC Canada on Twitter to cancel my order.
The actual store called me today to apologize and willing to offer the same promotion at my convenience.
      very surprised and unexpected.
I feel like I'm the only person who didn't get a reply from Twitter :), It's @kfc_canada correct? I sent 5 messages starting the night of the promo to yesterday and they never replied, I ended up having to call the 1-800 number to request a refund for my delivery order that never showed up.
    • So why do this promotion at all? They don't make money, they alienate potential customers (like me) and they risk very bad publicity including fines.

If they did decide to do this promotion, they SHOULD double their staff. That will cost a lot less in the long run than all the bad publicity.
How many of those pissed off people eat there once or twice a year because of a promotion like this?

    • They could've ran it in store much better. Instead of packing EACH order as the customer got to the cashier/till, they should've been getting rapidly getting the names of people in line, look at receipts, and than make the order. Instead of 1....by 1........by 1........by 1........ Doesn't make any sense. Half the time the cashier was looking for 5 minutes at the pile of receipts when person got up to cashier. And than the order was packed. .....
      Absolutely agree. Well thought out.

I have never been successful in getting this. I think its BOGO, not free. The email says "Free Popcorn Chicken*", but doesn't explain what the * is anywhere. When you redeem the code in the app, it adds 2 orders and only charges for 1 of them.

    • Does anyone know if the delivery drivers actually receive the Tip from the online order or does the tip go towards to the establishment?? (please confirm)

My delivery guy seemed like he was prolonging and stalling the contactless delivery, he persisted to hand me the receipt even though I told him to drop off everything at the front door to make it...seemed very odd. I hope he gets the full amount of tip I put in on my online order.

    • At Kingsway location in Vancouver. Line up wrapping around building 1.5 times. I would estimate wait time to be 2 hrs.
What were the logistics like when you went?

Was everyone just lining up at just the front door, and they let only two parties in the store at a time or was there mayhem?

I went to this location in the morning probably just before things went to hell.

I placed my order before 1am for pickup at 11:30am, the earliest time available to be selected. Went big and ordered a Sports Pack and another 18-piece bucket.

This location has a front door and a side door. Normally they have regular walk-in customers come in the front-door, and delivery drivers and online orders come in the side door.

I got there promptly at 11:30am, and there were maybe three people in the store, and like two people lined up at each door.

Even before there was a crowd, it was pretty clear to me this multi-door system was not going to work. Without anyone controlling the two lines, how is there any way to maintain order?

To add to the problem, the delivery drivers were just skipping the line completely.

Within a few minutes, there were probably five parties inside the tiny store, and the employee working the front, who has been there for many, many years, was already starting to get frustrated at the situation.

It seemed like this location did try to improve a bit from the previous year, where they did start trying to prepare the orders in advance, not only when you showed up. After waiting maybe 10 minutes, it was my turn to be serviced. They had my two buckets of chicken already packed with my name written on it, but they still had to pack the popcorn chicken and fries.

During this time, even though there were already four people in the store, an older woman saunters in the front door and just goes to wait behind the couple people behind me... even though there were probably at least six people waiting outside the side door.

After another couple minutes, I got the rest of my food, and I kindly told the employee that their two door system wasn't going to work today, and she agreed. She immediately came out from behind the counter and went to the side door, I think to take down the sign indicating to use that door for online orders. I didn't stick around to see what actually happened after that, but I imagined that they changed the online orders to use the front door, and maybe only delivery drivers use the side door.

So all in all, it went fine for me. Took about 15 minutes total.

The food was all fine, and they actually made a mistake and gave me two buckets of popcorn chicken.

As others have said, even when fresh, not a bad idea to toss it in the air fryer for a few minutes to get rid of some of the excess grease.

    • So after waiting 45 minutes to get the food I ordered, I have to say I was not impressed.....with the CUSTOMERS.

The last time I saw people acting and behaving in such a disgraceful manner over chicken, I was watching the Boondocks. People were shouting and getting angry FULLY KNOWING every KFC in the area would be packed with people trying to get the same deal. There were 2 dozen people waiting for food at any given moment, and they couldn't even form a line properly. One lady came in with her daughter, completely skipped the "line", and hounded the staff for 15 minutes until they served her first....KFC Karen.

It reminded me of the videos we see of people running other people over on black Friday, just to get $50 off a TV; the lowest of societal behavior. I am SO sorry for the poor souls that couldn't get their chicken in 5 minutes, it must've been a life changing experience, and the PTSD will probably last hours, maybe even days!

Honestly, a big +1 to the 4 people that worked there all night and had to put up with a bunch of myopic, crying, entitled babies.
For the most part, humans are garbage bro.
