View allWent to the store today, and they offered to honour the cyber monday deal today. Got my chicken and some extra's (cheesecake) for my troubles. My advice would be to go to the store directly with complaints rather than calling or emailing customer service. Customer service is slow to respond and can't take appropiate action needed.
I'm still waiting for my refund as well. I have called customer service 5 times since I cancelled my order on Nov 31. I gave up after waiting in line for 1.5 hours and getting only 1/4 of the way through the lineup. Meanwhile, all the delivery drivers were bypassing the line and picking up their orders right away. Each time i call customer service they say the same thing they say to you. I have even tried calling the store but noone answers. Even worse the line disconnects after 10 rings. I FB messengered them tonight and am hoping to have a reply. I called MC to have dispute the charge, but they won't dispute it without written notice from the store saying I didn't receive my order. I now expect not just a refund but some huge offers as well.
THat's why i haven't done a charge back but I'm not thrilled about it.
For those that cancelled, did you get your refund from KFC? I called the 1-866-532-4968 on Nov 30th and cancelled the order. The person on the phone said I’d receive a refund to my credit card within 3-4 business day. I called the number again a few days ago and they said they sent an email to the store to have them approve the refund.
Anyone else have this?
I just requested a charge back from the credit card company
I guess that store must have told hq to take them off the website.
It's a 7 day business so inevitably, people fall on natural days off, so might not even be possible.
I get people want to devour their 50% off chicken and lick their fingers and complain about wait times and still play victim that sales like this spread COVID, but I'm not killing my staff on one day for a bunch of freeloaders to eat for half price and turn my business upside down.
They CAN'T double their staff. It's impossible to hire enough people to meet the demand of this one day, just like it's impossible for any store to hire enough people just for Boxing Day and Black Friday.

Didn't know it's a tradition in Japan to have KFC for Christmas
The actual store called me today to apologize and willing to offer the same promotion at my convenience.
very surprised and unexpected.
probably gonna throw them out anyway.
they gave me EXTRA large fries for FREE
THANK YOU
PM me if you want the code.
EDIT: code taken
My delivery guy seemed like he was prolonging and stalling the contactless delivery, he persisted to hand me the receipt even though I told him to drop off everything at the front door to make it...seemed very odd. I hope he gets the full amount of tip I put in on my online order.
Stay safe and have a nice day!
Was everyone just lining up at just the front door, and they let only two parties in the store at a time or was there mayhem?
I went to this location in the morning probably just before things went to hell.
I placed my order before 1am for pickup at 11:30am, the earliest time available to be selected. Went big and ordered a Sports Pack and another 18-piece bucket.
This location has a front door and a side door. Normally they have regular walk-in customers come in the front-door, and delivery drivers and online orders come in the side door.
I got there promptly at 11:30am, and there were maybe three people in the store, and like two people lined up at each door.
Even before there was a crowd, it was pretty clear to me this multi-door system was not going to work. Without anyone controlling the two lines, how is there any way to maintain order?
To add to the problem, the delivery drivers were just skipping the line completely.
Within a few minutes, there were probably five parties inside the tiny store, and the employee working the front, who has been there for many, many years, was already starting to get frustrated at the situation.
It seemed like this location did try to improve a bit from the previous year, where they did start trying to prepare the orders in advance, not only when you showed up. After waiting maybe 10 minutes, it was my turn to be serviced. They had my two buckets of chicken already packed with my name written on it, but they still had to pack the popcorn chicken and fries.
During this time, even though there were already four people in the store, an older woman saunters in the front door and just goes to wait behind the couple people behind me... even though there were probably at least six people waiting outside the side door.
After another couple minutes, I got the rest of my food, and I kindly told the employee that their two door system wasn't going to work today, and she agreed. She immediately came out from behind the counter and went to the side door, I think to take down the sign indicating to use that door for online orders. I didn't stick around to see what actually happened after that, but I imagined that they changed the online orders to use the front door, and maybe only delivery drivers use the side door.
So all in all, it went fine for me. Took about 15 minutes total.
The food was all fine, and they actually made a mistake and gave me two buckets of popcorn chicken.
As others have said, even when fresh, not a bad idea to toss it in the air fryer for a few minutes to get rid of some of the excess grease.
You're the worst kind of person. The WORST. Period.
The last time I saw people acting and behaving in such a disgraceful manner over chicken, I was watching the Boondocks. People were shouting and getting angry FULLY KNOWING every KFC in the area would be packed with people trying to get the same deal. There were 2 dozen people waiting for food at any given moment, and they couldn't even form a line properly. One lady came in with her daughter, completely skipped the "line", and hounded the staff for 15 minutes until they served her first....KFC Karen.
It reminded me of the videos we see of people running other people over on black Friday, just to get $50 off a TV; the lowest of societal behavior. I am SO sorry for the poor souls that couldn't get their chicken in 5 minutes, it must've been a life changing experience, and the PTSD will probably last hours, maybe even days!
Honestly, a big +1 to the 4 people that worked there all night and had to put up with a bunch of myopic, crying, entitled babies.
