    • Thank you down voters.
I managed to right as the store opened and be the first person in line.

Everyone talking about opportunity cost of standing in line...
πŸ˜‚ It was hilarious to see so many people parroting theories of oh so cold weather and the hours long lineups that…didn’t end up happening. Most people were rendered speechless when they were proven to be so wrong but then there are some that are still yapping, unable to take the L…
It only took 5 mins of your time to drive to staples, wait an hour to get the coupon and then drive home?
Clearly people would rather spend their time doing other things as evident by all the downvotes.
Some people would rather spend their time camping out in this thread, on a deal that they had no interest to take part in, that others benefitted from, and arguing why they shouldn’t have taken part in. Maybe accept that you were wrong and move on, might get you further in life πŸ˜‰

    • You must be fun at parties or work at st00ples.
From work to staples is 1km less than 2 mins drive.
Also about 15 mins walk from my house to nearest staples or from work to that nearest staples.
I don't see how this is relevant in the grand scheme of things, it's like this is your first YMMV thread AS well as your naysayer crew as you're devil's advocating and doxxing myself to prove a point I've driven much farther for other *deals* that opportunity cost didn't make much sense as it was OOS that had phantom or YMMV stock which is no different.

Bottom line is for 24$ net which is equiv to almost 40gross per hour near my hourly wage at my highest tier
Got paid to stand 5 mins in line Ceterus paribus.
Are you trying to apply a formula or something to derive utility ?
However you add it all I'm nowhere near a wage of 40$ and that accounts for majority of the naysayers.cfor 5mins of watching tiktok, wait in line a la Ceterus paribus and no one here seems to have waited an hour or more.
If you make over 40 per hour gross good for you lol

Anyways don't bother to reply, there's better ways to increase post count than trying to troll me.

It's pretty funny how people claim to be doing other things as if 100% of their time and free times opportunity cost is worth more than 24$ NET for lining up as most where in and out with relatively little wait in line. Which in my case happened to be 5 mins in line and most reports saying they were in and out.

Idk if you're a paid st00ples corp shill, FOMO far outweighs the FUD instigated by the band of naysayers.
Nice try and thank you made my life easier.

Btw: if I was able to go to USJ I would've gladly waited 6h with frens to get Levi popcorn bucket cause why not πŸ™ˆ
I don't see anyone downvoting and claiming outrageous opportunity cost on those who waited tiktoks vids au contraire they get praised so I may be at a disconnect.

    • #1 x #2 checking in salute.
      1h wait saved myself 40$ gross hourly wage x 2 😎
My 5 mins of time less of cold showers a morning vs 24$ net wage (I got 2) lining up. You can splain it any which way makes it funny you'd even say idk what I mean, do you? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
Wait don't even bother with them fighting words cause I'm not here to babysit you and hear you cry a river like the negative naysayers lol

    • good summarize but you miss the No. 1 excuse : Staples is 1 day shipping, other stores are not .
Amazon has been delivering product here extremely fast recently. I place order during the night between midnight and 7-8 am and they get here between 13h-20h. Was pretty amazed the first time it happened, but now it happen more and more.

It's a fairly good cross section of the current state of Red Flag deals forums these days.

I don't think that would be a good addition imo... too many good deals would be missed.

      Same goes for you.
Minor in economics, micro1+2 and macro 1. Whatever suits your marginal utility and makes you sleep better at night you do you.

    • You still don't get it, don't you? People downvoted you for screaming "SMOKING HOT" in your title.

$25 free, if you can get it, is good if there's no opportunity costs. Not every one lives next to a Staples and can invest in the time and travelling.

Disclosure: I didn't vote one way or the other.
I don't get it neither if st00ples wasnt near you you go threadcrap the thread by saying your opportunity costs is 25$ net an hour or doing something else? (Generally speaking)

Example there's a deal at Walmart for washer fluid at 1.77 and it's limited stock with no idea stock amount.

      A. You don't need anything or deals not for you so why bother entering the thread to threadcrap
      B. Say you'll go to ctire instead at least there's no line but pay more
      C. you make more per hour or had better opportunity cost
      D. You don't know what the stock is as they report stocktrack as available but you get there and there's no more, so you enter the store like most YMMV threads to be disappointed.

That's why I had a good laugh with the people who post a,b,c,d

The armchair critics have been dealt a huge L here. With a bit more effort and less time turning up their noses on it here, they could have gotten $25 or $50. Instead, they have either been left speechless or are still spending their valuable time trying to justify their flawed position on here (for free).

Meanwhile, we got easier access to the slices of pie πŸ˜‰

Well they DO need to have some limits. But yes at the end of the day the customer walks out unhappy, doesn't come back and tells others not to go there.

Even $25 is not a motivator for me. Even $50 is a huge maybe. My time has value.

That said, still good deal for some who bought a pencil or nothing at all, and this should be thread of the year for being just funny πŸ˜… I am sure many of us were laughing at staples and not op who deserves compliment for posting it.
